Casting Off For Now...

Hi Crafters, 


First we'd like to thank you again for supporting ArchRavels. This was one of our largest projects to date and we cannot thank you enough for all of the heart felt responses and reactions to our colorful, cozy game about fiber arts. Let's take trip down memory lane of our favorite moments


Memory Lane

  • We've watched you vote for your favorite yarn bowl which lead us to responding with the silliest piece of content we've ever created: the infamous, mad scientist yarn bowl experiments. 
  • We made holiday cards and Valentine's Day cards to share with that special someone.
  •  We loved every single WIPs or Finished Project Friday that flooded our inbox. We especially loved the infinity infinity scarf.
  • We followed every hashtag and tag sharing us your crochet octopus or your unboxings. '
  • We saw family members unite over hobbies - gaming and fiber arts. 
  • Finally, with great honor we witnessed a few folks' very first Kickstarter. (We hope ArchRavels isn't your last)

Quick update on a couple loose ends...

Hey Crafters! 


1) Yarn Ball Refunds

We've had some questions pop up regarding the yarn ball refund. No worries! This is underway - details by refund method are below.

  • Venmo & Zelle - All payments to Venmo and Zelle have been sent. If you selected Venmo or Zelle as your preferred refund method and you haven't received it, please email us at [email protected]
  • PayPal - We are about a third of the way through PayPal payments. PayPal advertises a way to send batches of payments, but when we attempted to activate it, they gave us the run around for 3 weeks and then didn’t turn it on. Because of this unfortunate news, we are processing them manually and because we are processing them manually they keep on thinking we're a robot (🤖 beep boop). 
  • Paper Checks - We have not gotten through this yet as we're still trying to sort out PayPal and we apologize for the inconvenience
  • XYZ Credit - If you selected XYZ credit - then we'll get that credit in our system for you and as soon as we're through the rest of the refunds we'll provide details on what, how and where you can use that credit. 

So, what does that mean? It means we need another week to get through this onerous activity of pushing buttons and forever proving to CAPTCHA that we're *actually* human. 


2) Delayed Pledges

Good news! It seems many of the delayed parcels are now finally arriving, with some folks getting an extra copy (original package + our resend). If you received an extra copy,  gift it to your fellow crafter friends or a local library, stitch-n-bitch group, community center or the such. Make USPS' mistake someone else's celebration :-)

Yarn Ball Refunds, Fees, Missing or Lost Packages

Hi Crafters! 


We just want to address some questions that have been coming up. Thank you all very much for your patience as we finish up this campaign.


1) Where's my yarn ball refund? 

We're processing yarn ball refunds this week. We have about 750 transactions to do and they each are done manually. So, these will take a bit.  If you haven't seen it by April 15th - Please email us. ([email protected])


2) I have an additional duty or customs fee. Will you cover it for me? 

If you're in the EU, UK, Australia and Canada - yes, we are covering those fees. Please email us a copy of the receipt and provide us with a PayPal email address where we can issue the refund. ([email protected])


3) My pledge has not arrived yet! Where's my game? 

Unfortunately, multiple fulfillment channels are experiencing delays that are out of our control.  If you have not received your pledge AND you haven't reached out to us directly, please do and we'll look into it. ([email protected])


4) I have a defective game/missing piece. What do I do? 

Just email us at [email protected]! We'll be happy to send you whatever it is you need. We've already started sending out replacement parts so please be on the lookout! 


5) When will ArchRavels arrive in Retail in the UK/EU? 

Asmodee UK is our distribution partner in that region and should have the game in stock by Early April. Just ask your FLGS to order you a copy! If you don't have a FLGS or prefer to buy from us directly we're working on it but don't have a solid ETA yet. (But email us if you're in that situation because every request we get gives our partners one more reason to stock the game.)


6) I am a store that wants to carry ArchRavels. How do I do that?

  •  Option 1 - Distribution: You can order in the US from ACD or in the UK/EU from Asmodee UK 
  •  Option 2 - XYZ Direct Wholesale: You can set up a direct wholesale account with us. Here's the link.

Fulfillment Odds & Ends

Hey Crafters, 


Quick little fulfillment update for ya! This update won't apply to most of our backers but we want to be transparent about all the odds and ends that pop-up at as we go through fulfillment.


Canadian Shipping Fees

We addressed this in a previous update but if you got charged additional fees and haven't reached out to us yet, please do so at [email protected].


International Import Fees

So far we've seen 2 international import fees from the Netherlands. If you get hit with an international import fee, please reach out and we'll take care of those as well. (Once again, [email protected])


US Fulfillment Delays

We've had a handful of questions regarding shipping times to some US backers. It seems there are delays in receiving packages in some states. We are sorry - however, we honestly don't know why these packages are taking so long to arrive and neither does the Postmaster General.  As far as we can tell from our end, these packages are still in transit.  If you still haven't received your package by the end of the month email us and we'll go through the motions of filing a complaint to the USPS Office of Inspector General AND send you out a replacement. 


Missing Parts/Broken Bowls/Damaged Games

We're starting to send out replacement parts next week! So, if you've already contacted us - great! If you did receive something broken, damaged or missing - once again just email us at [email protected]


Yarn Ball Refunds

We will be processing these towards the end of March. As you might imagine we have hundreds of these to process and we're waiting till the end of the month so we can do them as a batch. We will be posting another update once we will begin processing those so that everyone is aware. 


Other Lost or Missing Packages

If you're still missing your ArchRavels or have questions about tracking please email us at [email protected]. Unfortunately, for a lot of these cases, we're seeing the same information as you are but we'll still do what we can to get your package to you as soon as possible. 


Canadian (& International) Fulfillment Update

Hey Crafters!


This morning we've gotten quite a few messages and comments that some Canadian and International Backers are being asked to pay a "brokerage and import fee" on their packages. 

The simple answer is: This was not supposed to happen. We're working with our fulfillment partners to get to the bottom of WHY it has happened. 

But in the meantime; we said this project would have "friendly" shipping and we stand by that to the best of our ability. This was not a lie, or scam or anything of the sort. This was an error. Plain and simple.

Most importantly right now; we will be covering this cost. If you got hit with this additional fee; please email us a copy of that invoice to [email protected] and we'll cover it.  But please reach out as soon as you know so that we minimize the chance of any of your packages being returned.

We apologize for any inconvenience - you certainly didn't WANT to have to deal with an additional step in the process and we certainly didn't want to have this complication either! But, we'll do what we need to do to make it right.
