Yarn Bowl Swirl Results
The voting had us on pins and needles. We're so glad you actually blanketed us with votes. As it turns out the LARGE SWIRL CUTOUT won by a thread 87-83! Thank you all for participating!
We tested the large cutout with the chits. Our lab results determined that unless you are literally playing ArchRavels during an earthquake instead of taking cover (which you should totally do btw. You should totally take cover), the chits won't fall out! We appreciate your concerns and we appreciated them so much that you might have inspired us to make a silly video in the future. So stay tuned!

Wooden Yarn Bowl Samples!

Hi Crafters!
As promised, we have beautiful photos of the deluxe, wooden yarn bowl samples. The bowls are made out of acacia wood with medium-dark wood stain. They hold about a quarter cup of yarn chits. So why are we showing two? We need your help!
The yarn bowls have two different types of swirls to feed the yarn through. The left bowl has a smaller swirl cutout and the right bowl has a larger swirl cutout. Comment below your favorite! We'll count up your votes by Friday 3PM CT.
Edit: Just one point of clarification, the larger swirl cutout is just large enough to fit a yarn token through, but it only fits through in a specific orientation. So it's pretty unlikely that yarn tokens would randomly fall through, even if you have A TON of yarn in your stash.

ArchRavels Quarantine Update!

Hello, Crafters!
Are you okay? Hang in there.
We're in strange times and XYZ Game Labs is very sorry for being silent for so long. We wanted to take some time as a company and as human beings to make sense of the world and the people around us as we grapple with the Coronavirus crisis. To put in perspective, we had to figure out a new way of life as routines changed drastically: No gym, working from home while homeschooling young children, losing a job, conventions cancelled, and having no regular social interactions.
That said, we're very relieved to announce that we're starting to understand our life a bit better. We're fighting back in our own ways whether that's going to therapy, working on home projects, spending time with family, making masks, and hunkering down to design new games. All things considered, we're grateful that our family and friends are okay, healthy, and we're excited about the progress on new games.
Online Store
One of the projects that we worked on during quarantine was the launch of our online store and some quarantine discounts.
We have RobotLab on sale for $10 and the Inoka Alpha Edition for $5! We also have a free version of RobotLab PNP available on PNP Arcade.
ArchRavels Update
As for ArchRavels, we don't expect any delays in production which we're glad about. We've received a sample of the neoprene mat. We have to make a couple tweaks to the layout for it to fit properly.
The sample of the wooden deluxe bowls is en route. Its last whereabouts is in Japan. After that sample, the next items we're expecting are the blank physical proofs. It should have the test of the plastic Game Trayz inserts. Once we receive these items, there will another meatier update with photographs to share with you all!

GameTrayz Sneak Peeks, Awards, and Events!

First and most importantly, thank you for supporting us! We're working tirelessly to hit our deadlines and your kind comments and shares have pushed us through this production progress.
Timeline Progress
As of now, we're very lucky and we do not have any delays in production due to Corona Virus. We will keep you all posted if that status changes. We're still in the proofing phase with our main focus on custom trays, testing different thicknesses of plastic, final draft of the rulebook, and back of the box art.
GameTrayz Update!
We are SO excited to share with you the work in progress renders from GameTrayz. These inserts will make unboxing and reboxing ArchRavels so much easier and set up for each game faster!
Please note that these are NOT final but they're getting so close. We're so enthusiastic about these inserts because with a Marie Condo/Konmari kind of organization, every cozy item and yarn ball has a place where it lives and your copy of ArchRavels will last forever and your game setup will be so easy.
Silverbacker Award
In our last update we shared that ArchRavels was nominated for Tabletop Backer Party's inaugural Silverbacker Award. We proud to announce that we're one of the winners! We're absolutely honored to have been chosen for this award. ArchRavels is a special project to us because we carefully crafted it to highlight the artsy, colorful, inclusive world of fiber arts. This young gamer looked exactly like Eliza in our game. Of course during her demo, she chose to play that character!
Kickstarter had an amazing room and we're so glad to have been invited to share our game!
We didn't know we needed it, but now we need this space gaming lounge aesthetic.

ArchRavels Late Pledge Extension & Big Update!

Belated gift to welcome the new year!
We hope everyone had a lovely holidays and a happy new year! Due to the end of year activities, we've been a bit preoccupied with family and friends. We are now fully rested, recharged, and ready to take on the new year! As a belated gift for you we've decided to extend our deadline for ArchRavels Late Pledges until January 31st!

Last you heard from us we were at PAX Unplugged in Philly. For our backers who were able to meet us in person, thank you so much!
